Are you picky about who looks after your pets? I understand completely. We have three cats, and they are our children. You would be remiss if you weren’t picky about who you trust to care for them.

Why choose me for your pet sitter?

In terms of experience, I spent roughly two years as the care manager of a local cats-only shelter. While there I was responsible for the health (physical, mental, and emotional) of 100+ cats at any given time. I’ve looked after diabetic, FIV+, hyperthyroid, neonatal, and senior cats, as well as perfectly healthy cats. I even worked with feral cats in need of medical treatment. Talk about risk of life and limb! I loved it all. Shelter work is very emotionally draining, in terms of seeing abuse cases on a daily basis, so I changed tracks.

I then spent a year working in a general practice vet office before deciding to go back and get my vet tech degree, which I’m working on now. I don’t have a traditional job, so I can concentrate on doing my best for the furry kiddos trusted to my care. Pet sitting is my job. It’s important to me that I do it well. I can provide you with pet sitting references, and/or professional references from past employement.

If you’d like a more informal glimpse into what I’m about, you’re welcome to check out my blog here: Three Cat Limit. I’ve maintained it since 2008. I think education is one of the biggest ways to improve the welfare of pets in general, and cats in specific. So I do my research and try to provide well-researched information. I’m serious about providing good care for pets!

Whether you choose me or another pet sitter, I hope the experience is a good one for you and your furry kiddos.

Best Wishes,
Jerimi Paul-Burnside
